Steve Thomson is a Project Manager for Connective Technologies, Inc. located in Houston, Texas, providing insurance carrier to insurance agent upload and download software and data translation services using the industry’s ACORD standards (ACORD XML and AL3).
Steve grew up on a small fruit orchid and farm in North East, Pennsylvania (a little town east of Erie). He played percussion from 5th grade through high school graduation, this included concert and marching band in high school. Steve started playing in a garage band at age 16 and gave it up at age 22 when he began a family, and almost twenty years later started playing in a praise band at St. John Lutheran Church in Cypress. This is the place where Steve met the rest of the CRB Band.
Steve is married to Wendy (Russell) Thomson - May 1991 – and has two children, Christian and Shelby. His hobbies include drums, cooking and eating good food, lifting weights and listening to music. Steve was influenced musically by Led Zeppelin, Green Day and the Beatles. His favorite drummers include John Bonham, Steve Gadd, Tre Cool and pretty much anyone else who is handy at throwing the sticks around.
Steve graduated from Penn State University in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Management Information Systems. He also holds an Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from Triangle Tech in Erie Pennsylvania which he earned in 1989. Steve holds the professional designations of a Certificate in General Insurance from AICPCU/ IIA – 2004 and ACORD Certified Expert (ACE) - 2010.
